We hosted our second supper club of the year in the East Horsley Village Hall on Saturday, 8th November 2025. What a wonderful evening it was! It’s a strange experience, hearing the night unfold when you’re in the kitchen trying to get plates out at pace, and gauge the mood of the room from the laughter or silence that filters through. You’re in a bit of a bubble with your staff, so focussed on the food and experience you’re delivering, that it’s only towards the end, once the dessert is out, that you actually return to the music and the ambience you’ve created for your guests. And that’s when you get a chance to enjoy it all too!
Our musicians for the evening did a splendid job I think, really setting the right mood - lively but chilled. Fairy lights twinkling, lamps casting a soft glow, conversation flowed easily, and I could hear loud laughter and merriment. Made my heart happy! Our menu for the evening was a coastal meal from South India, so plenty of curry leaves and coconuts, and it went down well, hurrah.
We’ve got two more Supper Clubs coming up in the same venue over the next few months. Menus and booking forms are now live on the website, so if you’re reading this and you’re keen to book yourself a seat at the table, I encourage you to do so soon. We can accommodate a maximum of 15 diners.
Saturday, 20 Dec, a Christmas menu inspired by Goa, with a mixologist for the evening making us festive cocktails! Choose from 2 or 3 courses. Find out more
Saturday, 7 Feb, a lovely meal from North India. Choose from 2 or 3 courses. Find out more
Looking forward to these already!
