Our food brings together heirloom family recipes, regional favourites picked up from my travels across India, and then those that have been influenced by my experiences thereafter.
I created The Travelling Tikki to share my love for regional Indian cuisine and cooking, and for food rooted in tradition but not bound by it.
All our food is handmade fresh to order. We also roast and grind our own spice blends - intoxicating aromas in the kitchen when that happens! Our fresh produce is handpicked and locally sourced from our village or neighbouring green grocer, butcher and fish monger. We never use artificial colours or flavouring.
We believe food brings people together and all our food experiences from our grazing hampers to our dabba dinner deliveries, catering offers, afternoon tea and supper clubs are designed to be shared.
We only take on small to medium sized catering requests, so we can focus on giving our clients a fantastic experience, with attention to detail in food preparation, ambience and presentation - there is care, effort and intention behind every aesthetic and flavour choice we make.
We are a sustainable business, using reusable, recyclable or compostable tableware and packaging across our services, unless we absolutely cannot, and we encourage pre-orders to reduce food wastage.
We create food experiences, inspired by India:
