One week to Easter and I had to make an eggy contribution! Here's a tasty and not very difficult egg curry recipe, South Indian style :)
If you ask me, Brussels is synonymous with four things: Tintin, Manneken Pis, chocolates, waffles, and fries. Oh that's five things.
Now since this is a food blog, I'll leave the reporter and the peeing boy alone, and focus on food in Brussels! Wait, I'm going to leave the waffles out too, because I really couldn't say if one was better than the other - they're everywhere, and they all taste just as good, so go anywhere, and you'll be just fine.
Here are a few delicious recommendations for everything from moules frites to chocolate mousse.
Who doesn't love chicken tikka right? And there are so many different marinades to try out! Though nothing tastes as good as chicken tikka made in a tandoor (a traditional clay oven commonly used in India), a garden BBQ grill comes close, and an electric home oven isn't too bad. Since this is a quick (if you exclude the marination time) and easy (but delicious) chicken tikka recipe, we'll use our kitchen oven.
Most excited that I'm going to be baking up a storm for The Cake & Bake Show in October. Just a couple of months now, and I'm finalising our menu and getting all the paperwork sorted. Going to block a weekend or two to do some practice bakes before the real thing too! The Cake & Bake Show takes place 7th-9th October 2016 at ExCel in London. We're going to be at stand M21 with our Indian-inspired savoury bakes.
One of the most fun things about camping has been the outdoor cooking experience. There is something very comforting about watching campfires dotting a field, as the sun starts to go down, while you're huddled over your own (blowing and coughing and sputtering, and fanning frantically. I just ruined the mood there didn't I? Sorry!). Over the last few years we've made our fair share of meals over a campfire and on our handy portable hob (purchased after much research. About as much as went into buying the cute camp cooking set and toaster!).
If you're a camping newbie, here are 5 really easy and tasty camping recipes.
