Last week we had the pleasure of returning to Stockley Park in Uxbridge, London, after almost 10 years! Back in 2016, when I first launched The Travelling Tikki, we traded at food and farmer's markets, and Stockley Park had a lunchtime trading opportunity once a week and then for special events. We were there for all, with our popular naan wraps. When I stopped trading in 2018, I didn’t ever think I’d be going back to the business park, but then a month or so ago I was approached by one of the park’s occupiers about catering for an International Women’s Day event in the office. I’d be recommended by another caterer I used to trade alongside in Beaconsfield on Saturday mornings once a month, back in the day! The power of human connection really is something to marvel at.
So this was our first corporate catering event of 2026, and it was lovely to be back in Stockley Park for it. We laid out a self-serve hot buffet for 25 people in the team, featuring Dhaba Murgh, Mattar Paneer, Dal Makhani, Jeera rice and Naans. Back in a boardroom after a year, but bearing food and chafing dishes this time, instead of a slide deck!
